The rattan pole is one of nature's great gifts to furniture construction and design, and with proper care rattan furniture will last for generations. Care for rattan surfaces just like wood: clean with a soft, moist cloth, and avoid extended exposure to liquids. Never use ammonia or silicone-based cleaners, and never spray glass cleaner near rattan or other natural surfaces. Woven abaca (banana bark), sea grass (water hyacinth), and woven wicker should all be treated in the same manner. |
