Our solid and veneered wood surfaces are sealed with a lacquer coat and then in some cases hand-rubbed with wax. Wood furniture should be dusted regularly with a slightly damp, soft cloth, and then rubbed with a dry, clean cloth until dry. Never clean or polish wood surfaces with products containing ammonia, such as glass cleaner, or silicone. We do not recommend using an off-the-shelf furniture polish, but if such product use is desired make sure the polish is silicone-free and avoid excessive rubbing as it may damage the clear coat. Wood surfaces will typically 'cloud' if exposed to liquids for extended periods of time, but clouding or ringing, if caught in time, can typically be rubbed out with a dry, soft cloth.

Furniture should not be placed in areas where it will receive extended exposure to direct sunlight – it will fade – and variations in temperature due to proximity to heating/cooling ducts should be avoided as well.
