Unlike granite, marble and fossil stone are naturally porous surfaces, subject to both ringing and staining, and can be damaged by acidic liquids such as citrus juices. Use of coasters is highly recommended. All stone should be regularly cleaned with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water. Though Artistica goes to great lengths to classify colorations and maintain consistency, fossil stone and marble are natural materials and variation should be expected.
